The
water ring vacuum pump forms a rotating water ring inside the pump casing by rotating the impeller, and uses periodic volume changes to achieve gas suction and compression. The following is the specific working principle:
The impeller is eccentrically installed inside the pump casing, and an appropriate amount of clean water is injected into the pump before starting. When the impeller of the water ring vacuum pump rotates, water is subjected to centrifugal force and forms an equally thick rotating water ring along the inner wall of the pump casing. The inner surface of the water ring is tangent to the impeller hub.
1.Inhalation stage:When the impeller of the water ring vacuum pump rotates to the suction zone, the inner surface of the water ring gradually separates from the hub,the volume between the blades is larger, the pressure decreases, and external gas is sucked in through the suction hole.
2.Compression stage:The impeller of the water ring vacuum pump continues to rotate to the compression zone, and the inner surface of the water ring is close to the hub.The volume between the blades decreases, and the gas is compressed.
3.Exhaust stage:When the compression zone turns to the exhaust port,high-pressure gas is discharged through the exhaust hole, and at the same time, some water and gas are mixed and discharged, which needs to be separated and recovered through the cooling system.
3.Circulation and cooling
Water plays a role in both sealing the working chamber and cooling the gas.The water carried by the exhaust gas is cooled and refluxed to the pump body for circulation, maintaining the stability of the water ring and equipment efficiency of the water ring vacuum pump.
The working water temperature directly affects the vacuum degree, and it is usually necessary to maintain a constant water level.Eccentricity design is a key parameter for achieving effective volume change. The water ring vacuum pump is suitable for suctioning gases without solid particles, and it is necessary to avoid chemical reactions between the gas and the working fluid.
